The divine book of the Quran is divided into various chapters. Surah Baqara is the second chapter of Quran. Along with some other things, the Surah stresses on the charity, an act of kindness, which holds a lot of significance in the religion of Islam. The following are some of the most important aspects of charity given in the Surah Baqara of the divine book of the Quran. the Surah Baqara is not the only book in which the significance of charity is mentioned. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning because it stresses on the charity in several verses, examples of which are given below. Charity is for oneselfAllah Almighty says in the Quran, 272 (Baqara) - "It is not required of thee (O Messenger., to set them on the right path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He pleaseth. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you, and ye shall not Be dealt with unjustly".From this verse of Quran, it is clear that if a person gives something in the way of Allah Almighty, he or she will earn virtues for himself. Allah Almighty never ignores any act of goodness. A great reward of charity promised by Allah Almighty274 (Baqara) – "Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall not be fear, nor shall they grieve".If we examine the above-mentioned verse of the Glorious Quran, we would immediately realize what a great reward Allah has promised. Being without fear and grieve is something every living soul badly desires. It is also mentioned in the verse that Allah knows the charity that one does secretly and that too would not be ignored. Charity is better than usuryThe holy book of Quran has a strong take on the usury, which is given below. Moreover, the fact that the charity is better than the usury also convinces one to do the acts of kindness. 276 (Baqara) – "Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity: For He loveth not creatures ungrateful and wicked".Charity is better than debtCharity is not just better than the usury; it is also better than the debt, as elaborated by the following verse of the Quran.280- If the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time Till it is easy for him to repay. But if ye remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if ye only knew. After mentioning all of these verses from the Quran, there is no further elaboration required on this topic. The Muslims must pray that they get the courage to understand the Quran and to spend each second of their lives according to the code of conduct given in the holy Quran. Of course, this is the only way to succeed in this world and in the hereafter.
